Story
A invented story requires place inside 1958, centering around Conrad Birdie, the hip-thrusting rock & roll maven akin to Elvis Presley; his agent, Albert Peterson; & Albert's love, Rose Alvarez. Albert finds himself inside pain after Conrad is drafted into the army, therefore he & Rose came higher by using the previous-ditch publicity stunt: Prior to he is sent to the army, Conrad may give 1 lucky girl a kiss on The Ed Sullivan Show.

A lucky girl is chosen indiscriminately from either Conrad's fan club, & it happens to exist as Kim MacAfee. Rose, Conrad, & Albert placed off to her home around Sweet Apple, Ohio to develop for the event. Nevertheless, items don't last quite when aforethought; Kim's father becomes thunderstruck at a prospect of existence on The Ed Sullivan Indicate, Kim's young man becomes disastrously jealous of Conrad, & Conrad himself becomes disgusted a indicate business life & endeavors to teach the children training person!
