Bye Bye Birdie occurs as musical satire on American society written by Michael Stewart (book), Lee Adams (lyrics), and Charles Strouse (music). It was number one performed in the Martin Beck Theatre in April 14, 1960, directed by Gower Champion.

Story
A invented story requires place inside 1958, centering around Conrad Birdie, the hip-thrusting rock & roll maven akin to Elvis Presley; his agent, Albert Peterson; & Albert's love, Rose Alvarez. Songs
Bye Bye Birdie features many notable songs. A song Children was parodied inside an episode of the Simpsons, and Wear the Happy Face was utilized by Wal-Mart in the 2000s for an advertising campaign using its smiley logo. A single Son was as well parodied within an episode of Family Guy.
